Exol Lubricants is sponsoring Willenhall-based grassroots girls’ football team, the Lane Head Vixens.
The sponsorship includes the provision of brand-new kit for the team, with the Exol branding appearing across the Vixens’ blue and yellow from June 2022, coinciding with the first of three pre-season tournaments.
Luke Steventon, senior supervisor at Exol Lubricants’ Wednesbury site, and parent of one of the Lane Head Vixens’ players, said: "We’re delighted with Exol’s support. The company has a good relationship with its staff that goes beyond the work environment.
"There’s a great cohesion with local communities to Exol’s sites evidenced by the sponsorship and it’s great to be on the roster alongside a variety of sporting disciplines, from fellow grassroots football teams to jet ski racers, to Kidderminster Harriers FC and Worcester Warriors rugby team.”
The Lane Head Vixens play in the Staffordshire under-9s girls’ league and is affiliated with Staffordshire FA. The 10-strong squad plays seven-a-side games and travels as far afield as Stoke, Stafford and Stone for its fixtures.
Steve Dunn, sales and marketing director at Exol Lubricants, said: "It’s a pleasure to sponsor the new kit of the Lane Head Vixens. Supporting grassroots football at this level is crucial in nurturing an environment where girls can stay active, keep fit and develop skills for the future.”
With the team’s shirts set to display Exol branding for their three summer tournaments at Wyrley Girls FC, Rugby Girls FC and Pelsall Villa FC, the sponsorship will continue into the new 2022/23 season.
