Exol’s Darren Frogson announced as new Chariman of VLS

Exol CEO, Darren Frogson, has been appointed Chairman of the Verification of Lubricant Specifications (UK) Ltd (VLS), succeeding Harald Oosting.

With almost thirty years of experience in the lubricants sector and extensive expertise in commercial management, Darren brings strong leadership and deep industry insight to the role.

As CEO of Exol, Darren has long championed integrity, transparency and technical excellence within the industry.

A VLS Board member since 2015, Darren is passionate about the organisation’s mission to maintain a fair and open lubricants market. VLS plays a vital role in ensuring that the performance claims made on lubricants are valid, accurate, and trustworthy – helping to protect both the trade and the end user.

Darren also served as President of the United Kingdom Lubricants Association (UKLA) in 2020, demonstrating his continued commitment to advancing best practice and collaboration across the industry.
